Grade: GG12 JOB PURPOSE

BAE Systems is the UK Government's nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

The Post Holder is the organisational lead for accreditation, moderation, and assurance across all BAESSA leadership and management training programmes, with delegated authority to advise on policy, approve compliance processes, and sign off assessment outcomes.

The Post Holder will be responsible for delivery of Leadership and other disciplines. This includes classroom and practical course delivery, testing / marking, materials selection, preparation and development, syllabus development, implementation of courses and record keeping.

The Post Holder will be responsible for ensuring that all accredited leadership and management training delivered meets the accreditation standards and assessment requirements. This includes moderation of learner work, verification of assessment decisions, assurance of course delivery, and supporting instructors in applying accreditation frameworks.

The Post Holder will be responsible for leading, controlling, planning and scheduling of training programmes.

The Post Holder is to collate, analyse and distribute delegate/trainee performance results as required by the Head of Leadership Development (HLoD).

The role represents BAESSA to external awarding organisations and leads strategic accreditation planning, audit readiness, and continuous improvement for all leadership training provision, ensuring alignment to contractual obligations and Air KSA strategic objectives.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

The Post Holder is responsible for:

  • Ensuring all assessment decisions across the Leadership Development programmes meet accreditation standards.
  • Moderating and sampling assessment decisions to ensure consistency and fairness.
  • Advising and supporting instructors in applying assessment criteria and preparing learners for success.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of qualification requirements and ensuring programme compliance.
  • Liaising with External Quality Assurer (EQA) to prepare for and support annual reviews.
  • Reviewing delivery performance through lesson observations.
  • Producing accurate and timely moderation reports for submission to the Head of Leadership Development.
  • Supporting the development and continuous improvement of leadership training materials and assessments.
  • Selecting and developing appropriate course material to match delegate/trainee abilities and requirements.
  • Providing regular updates to the HoLD on training performance, and any other issues that require their assistance.
  • Providing feedback and recommendations to improve learner outcomes and instructor practice.
  • Ensuring that all quality process documentation requirements are implemented and communicated to the Leadership team.
  • The Post Holder will be expected to operate to a standard of absolute integrity and professionalism.
  • The Post Holder will ensure the completion of any other reasonable request by their line manager, which aligns with Company business.
RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION
  • Experience of relevant training delivery to a high standard.
  • Experience moderating or delivering accredited leadership/management programmes across multiple locations or business units.
  • Have successfully completed assessor/moderation training (or equivalent accreditation)
  • Have detailed knowledge of assessment and verification processes
  • Have recent (within last 5 years) instructional experience.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to support instructors and learners constructively.
  • Be fluent in English with a minimum of IELTS 6.0 for non-native English language speakers.
  • Demonstrate high levels of cultural sensitivity.
  • Experience moderating qualifications in an international or military training environment.
  • Experience in delivering leadership and management training materials aligned to accreditation standards.
  • Experience using digital platforms for assessment and learner feedback.
  • Experience of delivering training to a military customer, or a customer in a regulated environment.
