The Learning & Development Coordinator will be responsible for assisting with the daily functions of the Human Resources Department including implementing learning programs and professional development initiatives within Tarrant County to support employee growth and organizational effectiveness. The Learning & Development Coordinator is also responsible for administering the Learning Management System (LMS), coordinating learning activities, developing instructional materials, and tracking participation and outcomes. This role collaborates with employees, subject matter experts, and leadership to deliver engaging learning experiences. Additionally, the coordinator manages the tuition reimbursement program, providing guidance on eligibility, application processes, and policy compliance. Administers the Learning Management System (LMS) by troubleshooting technical issues, supporting users, updating course content, and ensuring accessibility for all employees. Monitors user progress and maintains accurate records of learning participation, certifications, and compliance training.

Schedules and coordinates learning programs, workshops, and webinars. Manages training calendars, tracks enrollment, and ensures seamless execution of learning sessions.

Assists in creating instructional materials, e-learning modules, and training presentations. Updates learning resources and ensures materials align with organizational goals.

Promotes learning opportunities through internal channels, assists employees with enrollment, and ensures learning initiatives are well-publicized. They also manage logistics for in-person and virtual training sessions, including technical setup and material distribution.

Proven experience as a Learning & Development Coordinator, Training Specialist, or in a similar role.

Ability to effectively manage an LMS, troubleshoot issues, and support employees with system navigation.

Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple learning initiatives.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to promote learning programs and engage employees.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and virtual learning platforms such as Zoom or Teams.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business, or a related field or equivalent.

Minimum of 2 years in learning and development, training coordination, HR, or administrative roles.
Preferred Requirements:

Experience administering a Learning Management System (LMS).

Familiarity with instructional design tools such as Articulate and VYOND.

Knowledge of learning evaluation frameworks such as Kirkpatrick’s Model or ROI-based training assessment.

Experience managing a tuition reimbursement program or employee benefits related to professional development.

Strong writing and content development skills for training materials and courses.

Experience working in corporate learning, HR, or talent development within a mid-to-large-sized organization
