Job Summary
The Learning & Development (L&D) Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing learning initiatives that enhance employee performance, leadership capabilities, and organizational effectiveness. This role partners with business leaders and HR to identify capability gaps, develop learning strategies, and foster a culture of continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the organization's Learning & Development strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Conduct training needs analyses through performance reviews, stakeholder consultations, and organizational assessments.
- Design, deliver, and evaluate training programs, including classroom, virtual, blended, and e-learning solutions.
- Manage employee onboarding, technical training, compliance training, and leadership development programs.
- Create competency frameworks, learning paths, and career development programs.
- Partner with department leaders to identify skill gaps and recommend appropriate learning interventions.
- Manage and optimize the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring accurate training records and reporting.
- Evaluate training effectiveness using assessments, participant feedback, business KPIs, and ROI metrics.
- Manage external training providers, consultants, and learning vendors.
- Develop and monitor the L&D budget, ensuring cost-effective delivery of learning initiatives.
- Stay current with industry trends, learning technologies, and best practices in talent development.
- Coach managers on employee development and succession planning initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with mandatory training requirements and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, Organizational Development, Psychology, or a related field.
- 5–8+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Talent Management, or Human Resources.
- Experience designing and facilitating leadership, behavioral, and technical training programs.
- Professional certifications such as CPTD, ATD, SHRM, or CIPD are an advantage.
