Learning and Development Supervisor (Saudi National)

Abdullah Al-Othaim Markets Company is a Saudi-based joint stock company with active operations in both Saudi Arabia and Egypt. It is considered one of the leading retail companies in the Kingdom.

Job Objective:

The Learning & Development Supervisor is responsible for leading organizational training initiatives, supporting employee development and promoting a culture of continuous learning. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Training Needs Assessment (TNA), e-learning platform management, and the creation of impactful training materials.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive Training Needs Assessments to identify skill gaps and development priorities.
  • Develop, design and update training materials, presentations, manuals, and other learning content.
  • Manage and maintain e-learning platforms/LMS, ensuring content accuracy, functionality and user engagement.
  • Collaborate with department heads to align training initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Monitor L&D metrics and prepare regular reports on training performance and outcomes.
  • Develop and support Employee Development Programs (EDP).
  • Support talent development, succession planning and other HR initiatives as required.
  • Coordinate and deliver training programs, workshops and onboarding sessions.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and recommend improvements to enhance learning impact.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • 4-5 years of experience in Learning & Development or a similar role.
  • Proven experience in conducting Training Needs Assessments (TNA).
  • Hands on experience with e-learning platforms and LMS administration.
  • Strong skills in designing training materials, including presentations, guides, and e learning content.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and thrive in a fast paced environment.
