Job Description

  • Highland Hospital is seeking a Learning & Development Specialist to join its team. Candidates for this role will support the learning and development efforts for internal staff.

Some duties include but are not limited to:
Collaborates with the Sr. Manager HRBP and Organizational Learning and the Center of Organizational Learning team members to support overall development and learning strategies. Identifies development needs and designs, creates and delivers solutions (instructor lead and web based training) across the organization at every level, both clinical and non-clinical. Responsible for implementing and facilitating new employee orientation, team and interdisciplinary workshops, as well as delivering professional, leadership, and organizational development programs that support the performance and strategic objectives for all areas of the organization. Acts as a partner in matters related to onboarding, training, management/leadership effectiveness, organizational design and development, goal setting and performance management, succession planning, and leadership coaching. Executes all program logistics and provides administrative functions and user support within our talent/learning management system.

Salary Range:
$55,900.00 - $78,308.00 annually

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations

Job Requirements

  • Education/Experience (minimum required): Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably in Human Resources Development, Organizational Development, or related to the organizational development and learning field.
  • Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in HR, with relevant experience in organizational development and learning including program design, development, and instructional delivery. Prior healthcare experience a plus.
  • License/Certification Required: N/A
  • Skills: Engaging and inspiring instruction style; integrative and collaborative team work approach; instructional design experience; process oriented with significant attention to detail; experience with talent/learning management systems and other software systems (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote). Excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and presentation.
