Learning Support Assistant

Egypt Education Platform is seeking a committed and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our dynamic team at GEMS British International School of Madinaty. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse learning needs, helping to create an inclusive and enriching educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and small group support to students with additional learning needs, under the guidance of the classroom teacher.
• Assist in the implementation of personalized education plans (IEPs) and support strategies tailored to each student’s requirements.
• Help students develop social skills and independence, encouraging their participation in classroom activities.
• Monitor and document student progress, providing feedback to the classroom teacher on learning outcomes and behaviors.
• Facilitate communication between teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to student support.
• Assist with the preparation and organization of learning resources and classroom materials.
• Maintain a positive and structured learning environment, adapting activities to meet the needs of all students.

Requirements

• Relevant qualifications in Education, Special Education, or Child Development.
• Experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role, preferably in a primary/secondary school setting.
• Strong understanding of diverse learning needs and effective intervention strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively support students and collaborate with staff and parents.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
• Ability to work flexibly and adapt to varying classroom situations.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive education environment for all learners.
