Learning Support Assistant (Russian speaker)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one or small-group support to children, including those who speak Russian as a first language
• Assist the classroom teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate learning activities
• Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
• Communicate effectively with children and staff using both English and Russian
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organised classroom and learning environment
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and the wider nursery team
• Assist with daily routines, including meal times, toileting, and transitions
• Observe and record children’s progress, sharing insights with teachers as needed
• Foster an inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported

Requirements

• Fluent Russian speaker with strong English communication skills
• Previous experience working with young children in a nursery, early years centre, or similar setting
• Knowledge of early childhood development and age-appropriate practices
• Warm, patient, and nurturing personality
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a diverse team
• Relevant early childhood certification or LSA qualification (preferred)
• Current or willingness to obtain UAE-required clearances (e.g., police check, medical)

Pay: AED3,400.00 - AED3,800.00 per month
