JOB PURPOSE
The purpose of the Learning Support (LS) Teacher role is to provide targeted academic and emotional support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring all students have equitable access to high-quality instruction. The Learning Support Teacher works within a tiered support system to identify student needs and provide structured support.
By collaborating with classroom teachers, administrators, and other Support Services Team members, the LS Teacher guides the design and implementation of individualized learning plans, provides differentiated instruction, accommodations for testing, and leads small group interventions.
Additionally, the LS Teacher participates in student support teams, contributes to faculty professional development, and advocates for best practices in inclusive education across the school community.
