RTE Property Group is seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team. The Leasing Agent is a full-time position in one of the fastest growing Property Management companies in Southwest Montana. This position serves as the primary liaison for RTE Property Group’s prospective and current Residents. The Leasing Agent will provide clerical support to ensure the daily operations for a portfolio of properties and associations in the Greater Gallatin Valley and Big Sky areas. They will deliver exceptional customer service in accordance with fair housing guidelines, management agreements, and in alignment with the company’s guiding principles. Professionalism is paramount.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with leasing to ensure full lease-up and maintenance of high occupancy levels; includes issuing renewal offers, logging of responses and management of property availability.
- Conduct apartment showings/tours with prospective tenants.
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure safety and maintenance standards.
- Assist with ensuring an accurate record of availability that is compatible with the lease renewal report.
- Ensure that all units are posted to website/internet, with updated marketing/pricing, within 24 hours of receiving Tenant’s written notice to vacate.
- Process notices to vacates when received.
- Enter move-out dates, move-out information, & ensure all lease holders have submitted written notice to vacate.
- Approve, enter, and present all rental applications to the Property Manager for execution.
- Ensure that leases and resident move-ins are accurate and efficient.
- Maintain courteous communication with residents, applicants, employees, and vendors.
- Investigate and respond to concerns/complaints from residents in a timely manner ensuring accuracy and fostering good public relations; includes reporting to the Property Manager
- Assist in the development and implementation of resident retention programs.
o Brainstorm with team for monthly resident events/ideas.
- Manage action items and tracking reports for each new move-in utilizing the AppFolio tools and portal.
- Serve as liaison between the property managers and/or tenants regarding lease violations.
- Stays informed about current market and competitor conditions that may impact the community’s occupancy and sales results, provides input to Property Management team to ensure occupancy goals are met.
- General administrative duties such as:
- Answers all phone calls and emails.
- Responds to emails, texts, and phone calls daily within 24 hours.
- Daily mail duties: open, scan, and distribute to office colleagues.
- Scans all payments received and enters them into property management software daily.
- Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and resources.
- Report any issues of concern relating to client discontent relative to the management engagement immediately to property manager.
- Participate in continuing education, credentialing classes, & company team meetings.
- Plus, other work-related tasks as needed or assigned.
Secondary Job Responsibilities:
· Cross train on some job functions to provide depth and breadth of expertise and backup redundancy and support to the company and property management teams during periods of high demand
· Assist with vendor management as needed in collaboration with property management team; assist with engaging third-party service and maintenance providers; conduct site visits and property inspections for quality control purposes.
Professional Qualifications & Requirements:
- Licensed Montana Property Manager - Preferred or within 90 days of hire
- Computer skills required - Microsoft Office Products [Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint]
- Computer skills preferred - Teams, AppFolio
- Valid Driver’s License; Reliable vehicle and auto insurance required

Compensation:
- Rate of Pay: $22-25 per hour based on experience.
- 20 PTO Days annually; plus 6 Holidays annually

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in variable weather conditions and temperatures
- Must have good communication skills in English language
- Keyboarding and entering text or data into a computer or other device
- Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds
- Near visual acuity at approximately 20 inches or less, including use of computers
- Required to stand, walk, kneel, push, pull, and occasionally lift and carry loads of up to 40 lbs.
