Leasing Consultant

1. PRIMARY PURPOSE

The Leasing Agent plays a key role in managing and promoting rental properties to achieve high occupancy rates and maximize rental income. This role is responsible for generating leasing leads, conducting property viewings, screening prospective tenants, and managing the end-to-end leasing process. As a Leasing Agent, you will act as the primary point of contact for tenants, provide expert guidance on available properties, negotiate lease terms, and ensure a smooth and professional leasing experience while maintaining excellent customer service standards.

2. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct detailed consultations with prospective tenants to understand their housing needs, preferences, and budget.
  • Promote and market available rental properties.
  • Arrange and conduct property viewings, providing accurate and detailed information about units, amenities, and community features.
  • Negotiate lease terms and rental rates while ensuring alignment with company guidelines and market conditions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of rental market trends, competitor pricing, and local regulations to provide informed advice to clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants, addressing inquiries, concerns, and service requests promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate records of tenant interactions, leasing activity, and contracts using CRM and property management systems.
  • Collaborate with property management, maintenance, and marketing teams to ensure properties are well-presented and ready for leasing.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to enhance tenant satisfaction and retention.
  • Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations and company policies at all times.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned by management.

3. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

A. Educational Requirements / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.

B. Experience

  • 1–2 years of experience in leasing, real estate, sales, or customer service (real estate or property leasing experience is an advantage).
  • Basic knowledge of leasing procedures, rental laws, and tenant relations is desirable.
  • Experience using CRM systems or property management software is an advantage but not mandatory.

C. Skills and Competencies

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion abilities.
  • High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, competitive leasing environment.
  • Proficiency in using leasing, CRM, and office software tools.
