Overview
As a Tax Credit Leasing Agent, you are the face of our community. You will guide prospective residents through the touring and application process while ensuring all files meet affordable housing compliance standards. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your sales and customer service skills in a fast-paced environment where your efforts directly impact community growth and success.
Responsibilities
- Process applications and close leases to maintain high occupancy rates.
- Manage the leasing process from initial inquiry to lease signing, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
- Utilize YARDI (BREEZE) software, track leads, follow up on inquiries, and maintain detailed records of interactions.
- Address resident concerns, coordinate renewals, and foster a welcoming community environment
- Collaborate with management on marketing campaigns, community events, and outreach initiatives
- Verify income, assets, and student status to ensure resident files meet LIHTC and local housing regulations.
- Prepare lease agreements, maintain accurate resident records, and assist the Property Manager with daily office operations.
Experience
- Demonstrated working knowledge of LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) programs and HUD guidelines.
- Strong background in direct sales techniques.
- Familiarity with YARDI (BREEZE) software, or similar platforms, to manage customer relationships efficiently.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of residential/LIHTC leasing experience**
- Demonstrated ability in inside sales environments with a focus on achieving targets.
- Strong communication, organizational skills, and a proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
