Leasing Executives
Leasing Executive for the mall is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing tenant leases to maximize occupancy, revenue, and tenant satisfaction. The person will also assist in strategy for tenant mix, support lease renewals, liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders, and ensure leasing operations run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and approach prospective tenants that align with the mall’s positioning and target customer mix. Manage lease negotiations, renewals, and amendments, ensuring terms are competitive and beneficial. M
- Maintain a database of current and potential tenants/retailers, plus market intelligence on competitor malls.
- Prepare and execute tenancy agreements, legal documentation, and ensure compliance with all regulations.
- Work with marketing, legal, finance, and operations teams to coordinate tenant onboarding, fit-out, and handed-over space.
- Monitor tenant performance and satisfaction; address queries, complaints, and facilitate good relationships.
- Contribute to strategies for tenant mix, mall layout, rental rate adjustments, and promotional leasing (e.g. pop-ups, kiosks).
- Track occupancy, rental income, lease expiry schedule, and generate regular leasing performance reports.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Real Estate, Marketing, or related field. Usually, 2-5 years of experience in retail leasing, mall leasing, or commercial property.
- Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills. Understanding of legal / contract documentation relating to leases and real estate.
- Good at market analysis, benchmarking, and understanding retail trends.
- Detail-oriented, organized, able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Proficient with MS Office; familiarity with property management or leasing software is a plus.
- Experience in malls or large retail property management.
- Local market knowledge. Strong network in retail and F&B sectors.
