Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Leasing Manager to lead our property leasing operations with enthusiasm and professionalism. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the leasing process from initial inquiry to lease signing, ensuring a seamless experience for prospective tenants while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations. Your energetic approach will drive occupancy rates, foster positive tenant relationships, and support the overall success of our property management team. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, a passion for customer service, and a comprehensive understanding of property leasing procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire leasing cycle, including marketing vacant units, conducting property tours, and closing lease agreements with prospective tenants.
  • Utilize property management software such as Rent Manager to input data accurately, track leasing activity, and generate reports.
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 guidelines, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) requirements, and other legal standards governing property leasing.
  • Handle legal administrative tasks related to lease contracts, amendments, and tenant documentation while maintaining meticulous filing systems.
  • Engage in effective negotiation with prospective tenants to upsell available units and lease terms that benefit both parties.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure properties are in excellent condition for showings and move-ins.
  • Resolve conflicts professionally using conflict management skills while fostering positive customer relationships through exceptional phone etiquette and customer service.
  • Conduct regular data entry, filing, and administrative support tasks to streamline operations within office environments.
  • Support landlord-tenant law compliance by staying informed about legal changes affecting leasing practices.
  • Assist in facilities management activities related to property maintenance and tenant needs as required.

Experience

  • Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles with a focus on leasing activities.
  • Familiarity with leasing software such as Yardi, OneSite, or similar platforms is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 programs, LIHTC compliance, and landlord-tenant law.
  • Demonstrated ability in sales, negotiation, conflict management, and customer service within a fast-paced environment.
  • Office experience involving data entry, filing systems, contracts administration, and general administrative support is essential.
  • Experience working with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) or facilities management tools is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette and the ability to upsell properties effectively.
