Job Description

Focuses on complex Leave and Accommodations cases, with an emphasis on compliance and process improvement.

Experience

  • 5-8 years of leave management, accommodations, and/or disability experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Workday
  • Knowledge of benefits administration

Certification Summary

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Advanced knowledge of FMLA, ADA/ADAAA, and other federal and state regulations governing leave and accommodations
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point
  • Ability to produce and interpret reports/metrics, as well as identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities
  • Strong customer service, organization, and data accuracy focus
  • Proven experience in vendor relationship management
  • Ability to troubleshoot, recommend, and implement solutions from end to end
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with others
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively across various levels and departments within the organization

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversees day-to-day execution of Leave and Accommodations programs with strong compliance focus
  • Manages escalated and complex cases referred by the Coordinator, HR, or leadership
  • Collaborates with HR Consultants, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, and other stakeholders to address systemic issues and implement improvements
  • Provides guidance, coaching, and decision support to the Coordinator, managers, HR Business Partners, and Legal when reviewing complex scenarios.
  • Educates and coaches the HR Service Center to transition and handle inquiries and cases independently and consistently.
  • Identifies trends in escalations and recommends process, policy, or training changes.
  • Exercises judgement on complex, ambiguous, or high-risk cases.
  • Determines reasonable accommodations with input from Legal/HR and other stakeholders as needed.
  • Identifies and escalates risk and compliance issues; recommends and helps implement solutions across departments.
