Position Summary:
Responsible for administering and managing employee leave programs, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and company policies. This role serves as the primary point of contact for employees regarding leave of absence, providing guidance, documentation support, and coordination with HR, payroll, and management. Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. No patient care assignment.


Detailed responsibilities:
  • ADMINISTER - Administer employee leave programs, including medical leave, personal leave, and disability accommodations
  • COMPLIANCE - Ensure compliance with federal laws such as FMLA, ADA, applicable state regulations and company policies
  • LEAVE REQUESTS - Review, process, and track leave requests and supporting documentation; communicate leave eligibility, rights, and responsibilities to employees; monitor leave cases and follow up on return-to-work dates or extensions
  • RECORDS - Maintain accurate and confidential employee leave records; handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
  • COORDINATE - Partner with managers and HR to support workforce planning during employee absences
  • REPORTS - Provide reporting and insights on leave trends and usage
  • COORDINATE - Coordinate with payroll and benefits teams to ensure proper compensation and benefits continuation
  • POLICIES AND PROCEDURES – Review and update policies and procedures. Develop and maintain administrative procedures for the job
  • DEVELOPMENT – Enhance professional growth and development through participation in education programs, reading current literature, attending in-services, meetings and workshops

Experience:
Essential:
1 year directly related experience

Nonessential:
Bilingual English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo Benefits experience
