Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our faculty as a Lecturer in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, conducting research, and contributing to the academic and professional development of the department. This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for AI and ML and a commitment to fostering an engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching:

· Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Science, and related fields.

· Develop course materials, assessments, and projects to support students' learning and skill development.

· Supervise student research projects, theses, and dissertations.

·Conduct tutorials, seminars, and lab sessions as necessary.

· Stay updated with the latest developments in AI and ML to ensure the relevance and quality of teaching materials.

Research:

· Conduct cutting-edge research in AI, ML, or related areas such as Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, Robotics, or Reinforcement Learning.

· Publish high-quality research in leading academic journals and conferences.

· Seek research funding through grants and collaborative projects with academic, industrial, and government partners.

· Mentor students and junior researchers in conducting research.

Curriculum Development:

· Develop and continuously update the AI/ML curriculum to keep up with industry trends and technological advancements.

· Collaborate with colleagues to create interdisciplinary courses that integrate AI/ML with other fields.

Professional Development:

· Participate in professional development opportunities to stay at the forefront of AI and ML advancements.

· Engage with the AI/ML community through conferences, seminars, and workshops.

· Build and maintain collaborations with industry and research institutions.

Service and Administration:

· Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-level committees and activities.

· Contribute to student recruitment, advising, and mentoring.

· Assist with departmental administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications

· Advanced Master’s/PhD in CS/AI/ML or related field (MSc/ME/M.Tech with strong industry experience may be considered).

· University-level teaching experience.

· Strong research and publication record.

· Excellent communication & organizational skills.

· Ability to teach and develop AI/ML-related courses.

Desirable Skills

· Experience with modern AI/ML frameworks and programming languages such as Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, etc.

· Industry experience or connections with AI/ML-related projects for teaching. Total experience of about 3 to 5 years.

· Familiarity with applications of AI/ML in sectors like healthcare, finance, autonomous systems, etc.

· Ability to attract external funding through research grants or industry collaborations.
