Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, professionally competent, and student-focused Lecturer in Mass Communication to join our academic team. The ideal candidate should have at least two years of university-level teaching experience, strong subject knowledge in media and communication studies, and the ability to deliver engaging, high-quality instruction that fosters critical thinking, creativity, and academic excellence among students.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures in Mass Communication, Journalism, Media Studies, Digital Media, Public Relations, and related disciplines.
- Develop course outlines, lesson plans, assignments, and examination materials in accordance with academic standards.
- Supervise student research projects, internships, and academic activities.
- Evaluate student performance and maintain accurate academic records.
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement of academic programs.
- Participate in departmental meetings, seminars, workshops, and institutional academic events.
- Engage in research activities and work toward publications in relevant journals.
- Support students in developing professional and analytical skills relevant to the media industry.
Eligibility Criteria
- MPhil/MS in Mass Communication, Media Studies, Journalism, Communication Studies, or a closely related field from an HEC-recognized institution.
- Strong command of written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to deliver engaging and effective lectures at the university level.
- Prior teaching experience will be considered an advantage.
- Research publications and/or industry experience in media and communication will be preferred.
