LED Production Engineer

Role Overview

The LED Production Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the manufacturing processes of LED lighting products. The role requires strong technical expertise, hands-on production management, and the ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

Production Management

• o Supervise daily LED assembly and manufacturing operations.
• o Ensure adherence to production schedules and output targets.
• o Coordinate with cross-functional teams
• 1. Raw Materials: LED chips, drivers, aluminum, stainless steel, plastics.
• 2. Suppliers: Electronics vendors, metal, and plastic suppliers.
• 3. Production: Assembly lines with SMT soldering, injection molding, and testing.
• 4. Warehousing: Storage of finished products
• 5. Distribution: Delivering to wholesalers, retailers, or directly to infrastructure projects.
• 6. Reverse Logistics: Handling defective units or recycling components.

Process Optimization

• o Implement lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• o Identify bottlenecks and propose solutions to improve workflow.
• o Reduce waste and enhance energy efficiency in production lines.

Quality Assurance

• o Monitor product quality and compliance with international standards.
• o Conduct root cause analysis for defects and implement corrective actions.
• o Collaborate with QA teams to maintain ISO and safety certifications.

Equipment & Technology

• o Oversee operation of SMT soldering machines, plastic injection molding, and metal stamping presses.
• o Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed.
• o Recommend upgrades to machinery and automation systems.

Team Leadership

• o Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians.
• o Lead production teams to achieve KPIs.
• o Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in LED or electronics manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of SMT processes, injection molding, and assembly lines.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and ERP systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with LED lighting product design and testing.
• Knowledge of international standards (IEC, RoHS, CE).
• Ability to manage large-scale production projects and meet deadlines.
