DESCRIPTION: Performs a variety of critical and time sensitive tasks, sometimes of a confidential natre, in a fast-paced environment with great attention to detail. Serve as administrative assistant and scheduler for in-house attorneys in connection with matters to be presented before arbitrators, administrative agencies and civil courts. Role involves the frequent preparation of timely filings at agencies and courts; establishment of case lists and calendar entries; maintenance of physical files; and constant interaction with attorney, arbitrators, as well as external and internal administrative staff. Performs general clerical and secretarial duties. Reports to the General Counsel.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Responsible for ensuring timely filings

· Schedules legal hearings and enters all information into computerized scheduling system

· Resolves any scheduling issues

· Builds/maintains relationships with field employees, clients and vendors

· Maintains clear, concise and constant communication with field employees regarding scheduling

· Ability to provide direction and instruction to administrative staff

· Ability to understand general directions

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written

· Implements office procedures to ensure best practices in the efficient operation of the Legal Department

· Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

· Ability to prioritize and organize work and maintain accuracy of work, despite multi-faceted tasks and interruptions.

· Ability to create and present reports

· Familiarity with legal forms and high-volume paperwork

· Answers telephone calls and either responds to inquiry or directs caller to appropriate personnel

· Demonstrates a professional attitude and appearance.

· Meticulous attention to detail

DESIRED TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

· High School Diploma or GED required

· Associates degree or above preferred

· 2-4 years of office work experience required

· 3 years of experience in a Legal office setting preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $56,781.93 - $82,237.19 per year
