As we continue to grow, we are looking for a strategic and experienced Head of Legal Department to lead and manage our legal affairs.

As the Head of Legal Department, you will be responsible for overseeing all legal functions of the organization, managing legal risk, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and advising the executive leadership team on strategic legal decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the legal team, providing mentorship and guidance.
• Provide legal counsel to senior management on corporate, commercial, employment, compliance, regulatory, and litigation matters.
• Oversee contract negotiations, drafting, and review for business transactions and partnerships.
• Ensure corporate compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Manage external legal counsel and legal budgets effectively.
• Advise on risk mitigation strategies and support company-wide initiatives.
• Represent the company in legal proceedings as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) required; Master of Laws (LL.M) or relevant certifications is an advantage.
• Admission to the Bar or equivalent legal qualification in [relevant jurisdiction].
• Minimum of [7+] years of legal experience, with at least [3-5] years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of corporate law, commercial transactions, compliance, and dispute resolution.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
