Overview
Job Title: Legal Assistant
Job Purpose: To provide administrative and legal support to the Legal Department by preparing and reviewing basic legal documents, maintaining contract records, coordinating with external law firms, and ensuring compliance with company policies and Saudi regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Legal Documentation & Contracts
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and formatting legal documents and contracts.
- Maintain an organized database of contracts, agreements, and legal files.
- Track contract renewals, expirations, and amendments.
- Compliance & Coordination
- Ensure company policies and procedures comply with Saudi regulations.
- Coordinate with government agencies, notaries, and external legal advisors when needed.
- Support in preparing documentation for licensing, registrations, and regulatory requirements.
- Administrative Support
- Handle correspondence, filing, and document translation (Arabic/English).
- Schedule and coordinate meetings for the legal department.
- Prepare minutes of meetings and follow up on legal tasks.
- Research & Reporting
- Conduct basic legal research on Saudi laws and regulations.
- Prepare summaries and reports for the Legal Counsel.
- Support in monitoring potential legal risks and issues.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Studies, or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of Saudi labor law, commercial law, and real estate/construction regulations is a plus.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and legal documentation tools.
- Bilingual: Arabic & English (written and spoken).
