Legal Technology Specialist

Summary:


The Legal Technology Specialist is responsible for supporting, managing, and enhancing legal technology tools and platforms used by the legal department. This role bridges the gap between legal operations and IT, ensuring the efficient delivery of legal services through digital solutions.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Administer and support legal technology platforms (e.g., case management, contract lifecycle management, compliance tools).
  • Analyze the needs of the legal team and recommend appropriate tech solutions.
  • Automate legal workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
  • Collaborate with the IT department to ensure system integration and data security.
  • Monitor and maintain data privacy and compliance with legal and internal standards.
  • Create and maintain documentation and reports related to legal systems.
  • Stay updated on trends in legal technology (LegalTech) and suggest improvements or new tools.


Required Skills & Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field (legal knowledge is a plus).
  • Understanding of legal processes and terminology.
  • Experience with legal software such as:
  • Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), Document Management Systems (DMS), Legal Case Management Tools.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Knowledge of data privacy, security, and compliance principles.
