Responsibilities

  • Assist with all aspects of Workers' Compensation case management, including working up discovery, legal correspondence, reviewing records, and communicating with all parties
  • Organize and maintain all case files, including medical records
  • Draft pleadings/documents for attorney review
  • Review legal documents to ensure adherence to all legal requirements
  • Process IMR Applications
  • Order/ Subpoena/ Obtain records
  • Schedule medical appointments
  • Communicate with clients and outside counsel as requested
  • Conduct interviews with clients to gather information about their legal issues

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree and/or Paralegal certification are required
  • 2 years of workers’ compensation case management process experience is preferred - preferably as a case manager, or related jobs such as paralegal, legal secretary, or legal assistant at a law firm
  • Capable of drafting legal documents and conducting legal research is vital
  • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet presentation, and case management software if necessary
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to effectively manage multiple matters at once and follow up as necessary with little oversight
  • Must possess exceptional organizational skills as well as effective communication skills, both written and oral
  • Full-time, in-office position
  • Must be bilingual in Spanish

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
