We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Assistant to support our legal team. The ideal candidate will assist in legal research, drafting documents, managing case files, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the legal department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist lawyers in preparing legal documents, contracts, and correspondence.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant case laws, statutes, and regulations.
- Maintain and organize physical and digital legal files and records.
- Schedule meetings, hearings, and appointments for attorneys.
- Draft and proofread legal documents such as agreements, pleadings, and affidavits.
- Communicate with clients, courts, and other parties as required.
- Support the legal team in case management and compliance matters.
- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by senior attorneys.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or related field.
- Basic understanding of legal terminology and procedures.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and legal research tools.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
- Good communication skills and team-oriented mindset.
- Marathi Typing required.
Preferred:
- 1-2 years of experience in a law firm or legal department.
- Familiarity with court procedures and filing systems.
