Role Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Assistant to support our legal team in delivering high-quality service to our clients. In this role, you will be the backbone of our daily operations, handling everything from drafting legal documents and managing complex calendars to acting as a primary point of contact for clients. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses the "eagle eye" necessary to catch errors before they leave the office.
Key Responsibilities
Document Preparation: Draft, proofread, and format legal documents including briefs, pleadings, appeals, and contracts under attorney supervision.
Case Management: Maintain and organize physical and electronic files; ensure all deadlines (statutes of limitations, court appearances, etc.) are tracked and met.
Client Communication: Serve as a professional liaison between attorneys, clients, and opposing counsel; handle initial intake calls and provide status updates.
Research: Conduct preliminary legal research and fact-checking using tools like Westlaw, LexisNexis, or public records.
Administrative Support: Manage attorney calendars, schedule depositions/mediations, and assist with billing and time-entry procedures.
Court Filings: Coordinate the filing of documents with state and federal courts (e-filing experience preferred).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹31,184.82 per month
