Legal Assistant

<Overview>
Join our dynamic legal team as a Legal Assistant, where your organizational skills and legal expertise will drive efficiency and accuracy across a variety of practice areas. This vital role offers an exciting opportunity to support the company through filing essential documents, responding to emails and providing affidavits and waivers as needed.

<Responsibilities>

  • Prepare, review, and proofread legal documents such as contracts, purchase orders, affidavits and waivers
  • Manage files using document management systems and ensure all records are organized, up-to-date, and easily accessible.
  • Conduct detailed document review and data entry as needed.
  • Support project management tasks by coordinating deadlines, tracking case progress, and assisting with client communication.
  • Perform clerical duties such as filing, transcription, proofreading, phone etiquette handling inquiries professionally while maintaining organizational excellence.

<Qualifications>

  • Familiarity with legal research is highly preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; proofreading accuracy is essential.
  • Experience with project management tasks and legal case management.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough legal research and review documents meticulously.
  • Exceptional communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette.
  • Proficiency in data entry tasks alongside clerical experience including filing and document review processes.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
