<Duties>
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling, correspondence, and file management.
- Assist with legal research using tools like Westlaw, LexisNexis, and iManage to gather pertinent case information.
- Draft, review, proofread, and format legal documents such as complaints, summons, contracts, pleadings, and memoranda with precision.
- Manage legal case files and document management systems to ensure accurate organization and easy retrieval of case materials.
- Conduct thorough document review and data entry for various legal matters including estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, and more.
- Support litigation processes through document review, trial preparation, and coordination of discovery materials.
- Perform clerical tasks such as filing, transcription, proofreading, and maintaining organized records in compliance with firm policies.
- Coordinate communication via phone with clients, courts, vendors, and other stakeholders while demonstrating professional phone etiquette.
- Assist with project management tasks related to ongoing cases or legal initiatives to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
<Requirements>
- Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal in a law office setting with familiarity across multiple practice areas including personal injury law, civil/criminal or litigation support.
- Strong research skills utilizing Westlaw, LexisNexis, PCLaw or similar legal research tools for case analysis and legal writing.
- Demonstrated proficiency in legal case management software such as iManage or document management systems.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence with attention to detail.
- Experience with legal administrative tasks including data entry, filing systems, document review and proofreading.
- Knowledge of UCC (Uniform Commercial Code) law and familiarity with project management principles is a plus.
- Strong clerical experience combined with excellent phone etiquette and organizational skills to support the team effectively.
- Ability to perform legal research accurately while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
