Legal Assistant / Client Intake Specialist

A small personal injury firm seeks an experienced full-time or part-time (30 hours) Legal Assistant / Client Intake Specialist to join our team. You will provide overall support to multiple attorneys. Our firm is a small firm located in Carmel Mountain.

  • Receptionist Responsibilities – answer phones and perform case intake/screening
  • Order medical records
  • Open new case files
  • Organize and maintains files – includes opening mail and scanning documents to file
  • Prepare correspondence
  • Electronic Court filings
  • Saving records to files
  • Tracking case expenses

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Previous experience performing Client Intake or as a Legal Assistant
  • Prior experience at personal injury or civil litigation firm, preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Adobe, Docusign and OneLegal
  • Prior experience using Lead Docket is a plus
  • Strong communication and phone skills
  • Experience ordering medical records, preferred
  • Bilingual (Spanish), preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proactive approach - self starter
  • Work ethic and motivated to learn

  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Detail oriented
  • Professional ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Legal formatting experience
  • Experience with Judicial Council forms, preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Customer service: 1 year (Required)
  • Microsoft Office: 5 years (Preferred)
  • Legal Assistant: 2 years (Required)
