***The advertised pay rate is available 10/10/25***Reporting directly to a Felony Prosecutor III (Chief), responsible for providing professional and legal administrative assistance and support to the Williamson County District Attorney's Office within the Trial Division or Special Victims Unit (SVU).

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Drafts legal documents for attorney review, revision, and approvalPrepares and files paper and electronic case documentsMaintains electronic case file system with documents, correspondence, email, and notesMaintain calendars for case dockets, meetings, and appointmentsProduces case file tracking reportsProduces and maintains accurate and detailed records and reports subject to auditAssists attorneys in preparation for meetings and court appearancesReceives and handles phone calls and communicate messagesReceives, reviews, distributes, and responds to correspondenceSchedules appointments and meetingsMaintains strict confidentiality and security of records and documentsCommunicates with prosecutors, county personnel, court personnel, victims, witnesses, law enforcement agencies, attorneys, external agencies, and the general publicPrepares and manages court docketsLocates and prepares files for criminal court appearancesCalculates jail credit, ensuring credit is properly determined for court ordered treatment facilitiesAttends court proceedings to record settings and prepares plea paperwork, judgments, dismissals, and other related legal documents for disposition of felony criminal casesTracks and maintains bond forfeitures, preparing and filing documentation and creating new cases, when necessaryReviews pending, non-indicted, and probation filesCompares case information and Indictment filings with case management system data to ensure accuracyEnsures proper Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) data entry and reportingLocates and tracks defendants through out-of-county/state custodial agencies; processes Affidavits of IncarcerationPrepares and files motions to revoke or increase bonds, revocations, adjudications, local and federal bench warrants, motions and orders for competency, and pre-trial motionsProcesses case referrals to the County Attorney’s Office. Generates and reviews Warrant Activity and Event Review Reports to ensure reset dates, CJIS reporting, County Attorney referrals, adjudications, revocations, and bond forfeitures are addressed in a timely mannerPrepares trial notebooks and performs general trial assistance including copying transcripts and contacting key personsRecords and relocates media files for disposed casesAttends all meetings and trainings as requiredPerforms special duties as assignedORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPSReports directly to – Felony Prosecutor IIIDirect Reports – NoPHYSICAL DEMANDSPosition involves prolonged sitting at a workstation, visual examination of documents, reaching, walking, twisting, bending, standing and occasional lifting/carryingPosition involves occasional lifting and carrying of up to fifty (50) pounds and exertion of up to twenty-five (25) pounds of force to move objectsENVIRONMENTAL FACTORSWork is primarily indoors in an air-conditioned environmentHigh-volume legal office with stressful situationsIRREGULAR HOURSWork outside of the normal office hours (Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) may be requiredMay be deemed essential personnel in the event of an emergencyRegular attendance is requiredThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this job.
