Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant with a strong background in Marketing, Admin and legal research, document management, and administrative support to join our dynamic law firm. This role combines legal administrative duties with marketing responsibilities, providing an excellent opportunity for candidates interested in gaining comprehensive experience across various legal practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, and more. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, proficiency with legal software, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Provide executive administrative support to attorneys and legal teams, including scheduling, correspondence, and file management
  • Conduct legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools across diverse practice areas such as tribal law, patent law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, and litigation
  • Draft, review, and proofread legal documents including contracts, pleadings, memos, and correspondence
  • Manage case files using document management systems like iManage and legal case management software such as PCLaw
  • Review documents for accuracy and compliance; perform proofreading and transcription as needed
  • Assist with document review and data entry for ongoing cases and projects
  • Support marketing efforts by creating content for social media platforms, newsletters, and client communications
  • Coordinate interviews and client meetings; handle phone etiquette professionally
  • Maintain organized filing systems both electronically and physically
  • Support research initiatives related to various legal fields including UCC law, landlord-tenant law, family law, securities law, patent law, and tribal regulations
  • Assist in preparing materials for court filings or client presentations

Qualifications

  • Paralegal experience or prior legal administrative experience is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of diverse legal practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, patent law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, landlord-tenant law, tribal regulations
  • Proficiency with legal research tools including Westlaw and LexisNexis; familiarity with Clio or PCLaw is a plus
  • Experience with document management systems like iManage or similar platforms
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
  • Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and marketing content
  • Attention to detail in proofreading and document review processes
  • Effective communication skills with professional phone etiquette
  • Ability to perform data entry accurately and handle filing systems effectively
  • Knowledge of project management principles within a legal setting is advantageous
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while supporting team objectives

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
