Legal Assistant/Legal Secretary

A business and litigation law office in Salinas is seeking a paralegal/legal secretary with at least 2 years of experience. This is an in-person role. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the attorneys in all functions, including tasks in calendaring, preparing business, corporate or litigation documents, assisting in litigation, correspondence, making phone calls, drafting and sending emails to Clients, Opposing Counsel and 3rd parties, Court filings and service thereof, among others. Technical skills required are: the applicant must type at a rate of 50 words per minute minimum, plus must possess excellent computer usage skills, proofreading skills, and must be fluent in word processing and formatting legal documents with precision and speed. The successful candidate must have excellent time management and prioritization skills, and be flexible and competent to work on multiple legal matters and tasks pending simultaneously.

Salary and benefits are dependent on candidate experience ($25 is listed as a baseline but not the minimum or maximum to be paid). This position can be either FT/PT depending on business needs and employee preference. Please submit resume and list of references.
