Job Title: Legal Manager – Real Estate (Non-Litigation)

Location: Jaipur

Job Purpose:

To manage legal affairs of the company with a focus on drafting, vetting agreements, ensuring regulatory compliance, and handling all non-litigation legal matters in real estate development, transactions, and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Drafting & Vetting:

  • Draft, review, and vet a wide range of legal documents including:
  • Sale Deeds
  • Lease Deeds
  • Joint Development Agreements (JDAs)
  • Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs)
  • Power of Attorney (POA)
  • Agreement for Sale (AFS)
  • Construction Agreements
  • Vendor Contracts
  • Ensure documents are legally sound and protect the company's interest.

2. Legal Due Diligence:

  • Conduct and manage title verification and property due diligence for land acquisition, leasing, or joint ventures.
  • Coordinate with external legal counsel and consultants for opinion on land/title issues.

3. Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable real estate laws and regulations, including:
  • RERA (Real Estate Regulation and Development Act)
  • Transfer of Property Act
  • Registration Act
  • Indian Contract Act
  • Maintain and update internal compliance records and legal documentation.

4. Coordination and Advisory:

  • Liaise with government authorities (registration offices, revenue departments) for property-related legal matters.
  • Advise internal teams (sales, projects, finance, etc.) on legal implications of real estate transactions and business operations.
  • Assist in obtaining and reviewing statutory approvals, NOCs, and licenses.

5. Contract Management:

  • Maintain contract repository and track key timelines (renewals, terminations, obligations).
  • Ensure timely execution and stamping/registration of documents.

6. External Counsel Management:

  • Coordinate with external legal advisors/counsels as required.
  • Manage and track progress of outsourced legal work (non-litigation).

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Educational Qualification: LLB / LLM from a recognized university.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in real estate legal function, preferably with a developer, law firm, or real estate advisory firm.
  • Strong command over property law, contract law, and regulatory frameworks related to real estate.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to multitask and handle a high volume of legal documents and transactions.
  • Proficient in MS Office and legal research tools.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
