Job Title: Legal Associate (Litigation & Govt. Liaison)
Role Overview
The Legal Associate will be responsible for protecting the company’s interests in labor-related
legal matters. This involves direct interaction with government authorities for statutory
licensing, managing the lifecycle of labor litigations, and maintaining a robust Management
Information System (MIS) to track all legal risks and registrations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Drafting & Documentation
Draft, review, and negotiate Service Agreements (MSA) and Commercial Contracts with
clients.
Prepare non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) for internal staff and outsourced associates.
Standardize templates for vendor agreements and lease deeds.
2. Government Liasoning & Licensing
Labor Licenses: End-to-end management of obtaining and renewing licenses under the
Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act for various client sites.
Statutory Compliance: Manage registrations and filings related to the Shops &
Establishments Act, EPF, ESI, and Professional Tax.
Departmental Inspections: Act as the primary point of contact for government labor
inspectors; prepare documentation for audits and address any "show cause" notices.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain professional relationships with officials
at the Labour Department and other regulatory bodies.
3. MIS & Data Management
Maintain a real-time Legal MIS (Management Information System) tracking the status of
all active litigations and notices.
Create and manage a digital repository for all executed agreements, ensuring timely
alerts for renewals/expiries.
Provide monthly reports to leadership on legal spend, compliance status, and case
outcomes.
4. Litigation & Case Management
Represent the company in legal proceedings and manage relationships with external
counsel.
Draft legal notices, petitions, written statements, and affidavits for various
courts/tribunals.
Develop strategies to resolve disputes efficiently, focusing on minimizing financial and
reputational risk.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Category Requirement
Education LLB (3 or 5-year course) from a recognized university.
Experience
2–4 years in Labor Law litigation or Statutory Compliance (Staffing industry
experience highly preferred).
Technical Skills
Advanced Excel (for MIS management) and familiarity with Government Labor
Portals (e.g., Shram Suvidha).

Deep understanding of labor law

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
