The Legal Consultant will provide expert legal guidance to Delta Medical L.L.C. across all aspects of its operations, including healthcare regulatory compliance, commercial transactions, corporate governance, supplier partnerships, and risk management. The role ensures the company’s activities comply with UAE laws, Abu Dhabi Department of Health (DoH) regulations, and all applicable medical device and pharmaceutical requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Legal Advisory & Compliance
Provide legal advice on UAE federal laws, Abu Dhabi regulations, and industry standards related to medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare services.
Ensure company compliance with DoH, MOHAP, ADGM, and other regulatory bodies.
Develop and maintain internal compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
Advise on data protection, patient information confidentiality, and relevant healthcare privacy laws.
2. Contract Drafting & Negotiation
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including:
Supplier and distributor contracts
Service-level agreements
Licensing and agency agreements
Employment contracts
Non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements
Ensure all contracts protect the interests of the company and comply with UAE commercial law.
3. Corporate & Regulatory Affairs
Support company registration, renewals, and regulatory filings.
Advise on corporate governance, board resolutions, and internal approvals.
Coordinate with government authorities regarding permits, product registrations, and compliance inspections.
4. Risk Management
Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and commercial risks associated with company operations.
Provide guidance on dispute resolution, litigation strategy, and settlement options.
Manage external legal counsel where needed.
5. Business Support
Provide legal input on tenders, bids, and government procurement processes.
Support sales, operations, and supply chain teams with legal interpretations and decision-making.
Conduct internal trainings on compliance, anti-corruption, and contract obligations.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Law; Master’s degree or relevant certification is a plus.
5+ years of legal experience, preferably within the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or medical device sector.
Strong knowledge of UAE laws, particularly commercial, corporate, labor, and healthcare regulations.
Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
Excellent analytical, communication, and advisory skills.
Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
