What you’ll do

As corporate counsel, you will lead and support complex commercial transactions, including customer negotiations, strategic partnerships, and vendor relationships. You will work closely with sales and other key stakeholders across the business, providing clear, actionable guidance that balances legal risk with business objectives and company goals.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements with customers, vendors, and partners

• Cultivate strong relationships with sales and other key stakeholders by providing strong, strategic counsel to support ongoing go-to-market efforts

• Develop enablement tools, including playbooks, training, and internal and external collateral

• Serve as a solutions-oriented business partner by providing pragmatic, commercially minded legal counsel that enables rapid growth while managing material risk

• Advise and assist with Statsig’s general legal needs as they arise

What we’re looking for

• JD and in good standing to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction

• 4+ years of technology transactions experience, either at a law firm and/or in-house attorney role (experience in a tech startup is a plus)

• Substantial experience drafting, negotiating, and closing complex commercial transactions and a strong understanding of contractual issues related to intellectual property, information security, data privacy, and artificial intelligence

• Strong project management, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills

• Execution oriented with good business judgment and able to manage high volume of matters and shifting priorities with efficiency and precision

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

• Collaborative mindset and comfortable operating in a small team startup environment

• Ability to work on-site 5 days a week, full time from our Bellevue, WA office

Compensation & Team Structure

Compensation for this role is a combination of base salary and equity with a base salary range of $160,000-$180,000. This position reports to the Head of Legal.
