Legal Counsel – Family Office – Dubai


We are working with a well-established and diversified family office headquartered in Dubai, who is seeking to appoint a Legal Counsel to join their growing team. This is a key role providing legal and regulatory support across the group’s parent entity and subsidiaries, ensuring compliance and protecting the company’s interests in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.


The Role


The Legal Counsel will act as a trusted advisor across the business, offering practical legal guidance on a wide range of matters including corporate, commercial, real estate, and regulatory issues. The successful candidate will play an integral role in drafting and negotiating contracts, supporting business units on day-to-day legal matters, managing risk, and ensuring that group activities comply with UAE laws and applicable free zone regulations (DIFC and ADGM).


You will be expected to work closely with senior leadership and operational teams, providing pragmatic, business-focused legal solutions that enable growth while safeguarding the company’s assets and reputation. This role offers exposure to high-value real estate and investment projects, corporate structuring, and cross-border regulatory matters.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day legal advisory support across multiple business units and subsidiaries.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, shareholder agreements, leases, and procurement agreements.
  • Advise on corporate governance, structuring, and M&A activity.
  • Support real estate and development projects, ensuring compliance with property and construction laws.
  • Advise on regulatory compliance across UAE mainland, DIFC, and ADGM jurisdictions.
  • Support the resolution of commercial, contractual, and real estate disputes.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate legal considerations into operational decision-making.


Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law (LLB/LLM) from a reputable institution.
  • 5–8 years’ post-qualification experience in the UAE, with exposure to corporate, commercial, and real estate law.
  • Previous experience within real estate, investment groups, or family offices is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE mainland law and free zone frameworks (DIFC/ADGM).
  • Proven ability to draft and negotiate a wide range of contracts and legal documents.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
  • Commercially astute, solutions-oriented, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
