Job description:

·        Ability to draft various Commercial contracts and agreements. Drafting, execution,

registration, and record keeping of agreements and contracts to ensure appropriate

management of risks.

·        Drafting and maintaining replies of customer correspondence, legal notices, and support

the team and management of legal process for claims settlements.

·        Ensure timely renewals of all applicable statutory licenses of the Company relating to

Factories Act, Labour laws, Essential Commodities Act, Packaging & Labelling, Pollution

regulation, Competition law, Branding, Trademark regulations etc.

·        Coordination with external legal counsel for litigations both Civil and Criminal, including

drafting, representation of Company in various Courts, Tribunals and Government

authorities.

·        Coordination with all internal stakeholders for government supplies, regulatory, insurance

and legal matters.

·        Drafting project related documentation like Agreement forms, Affidavits, MOU’s,

Undertakings etc., from time to time, as per requirements. Quality assurance related

support to be extended.

·        Update Seed license documentation and dashboard from time to time. Prepare Organizer

agreements for Seed production and other documentation in coordination with

stakeholders for licenses.

·        Prepare and maintain registration related documents like Breeder’s certificate, DUS, DNA

reports etc., in line with Breeders and registration team of France for documentation.

·        Coordinate for treated Seed discard process. Filing and record keeping of documents

pertaining to compliance.

·        Be abreast of regulatory changes affecting the Company and ensure timely compliance.

·        Support for NBA related compliance, PPVFR filings etc.

·        Ability to work, liaison with various law firms for specific needs. Strong cross-functional

collaboration and external stakeholder management, in terms of representation to

Government departments and agencies.

·        Act as Company Secretary of the company ensuring compliance with corporate laws and secretarial standards, convening and documenting Board and Shareholder meetings.

·        Provide legal advice to Excom ’s Member and various departments and developed mitigation strategies and identify legal risks across departments and develop policies or preventive measures to reduce exposure.

·        Ability to work and communicate with Regional and Global team stakeholder management.

·        Implementation of legal and/or compliance tools and Regional and Global ’s Policy or requirement including to provide training related thereto.
