Legal Counsel

Our client is a leading Real Estate Investment Trust who are seeking to hire a Real Estate Counsel to join their team.

This is a high-impact role supporting acquisitions, loans, and development transactions. The position reports directly to the General Counsel.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage outside counsel throughout the acquisition lifecycle
• Lead closing schedules and ensure timely transaction execution
• Structure acquisition and loan terms in collaboration with the Investment Team
• Review and analyze due diligence reports (title, survey, zoning, environmental)
• Negotiate and finalize key deal documents including PSAs, leases, and loan agreements
• Provide legal guidance to Deal Managers and internal stakeholders
• Approve settlement statements and support internal process improvements

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited ABA law school
• 4+ years’ experience advising REIT or commercial real estate clients
• Strong transactional and commercial real estate background
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills

Compensation Range: $280k - $350k total
