Position - Legal Counsel

Location - Bangalore, Karnataka

Qualification - LL.B./LL.M. from a recognized university

Experience - 5-8 years of post-qualification experience in a reputed law firm and/ or in-house legal department.

Key Responsibilities

Business partnering for the commerce function:

• Transactions- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including distribution, agency, service, and real estate related agreements, with minimum supervision.
• Provide legal advice to business teams on various operational and excise related matters, proactively implement risk mitigation actions in cross-collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Dispute management- handle litigations at various forums across country, disputes with third-parties, statutory notices received, administrative proceedings etc., to avoid adverse impact on business continuity, or reputation;
• Champion anti-trust and IPR related matters; conduct periodic trainings and sensitisation programmes to employees.
• Assist in drafting and implementing internal policies, SOPs, and frameworks, legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting the business; Maintenance of various MIS, global platforms and periodic updation and reporting
