Legal Counsel

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of credit facility agreements in both Arabic and English, including revolving credit facilities-, short-, medium-, and long-term loans, as well as syndicated facilities
  • Provide day to day legal support and act as a subject matter expert for assigned areas.
  • Advise business units and management on legal, regulatory, and governance matters.
  • Ensure that the Bank effectively manages legal, regulatory, and reputational risks.
  • Support business initiatives by interpreting applicable laws, regulations, and market practices.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external counsel to deliver efficient legal solutions.
  • Contribute to strategic decisions by providing proactive, risk aware, and business-oriented legal advice.


Qualifications & Experience

  • 6–8 years of relevant legal experience, preferably within financial services or a reputable law firm
  • Strong knowledge of Egyptian laws and regulatory frameworks
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong command of both Arabic and English (written and spoken)
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships across functions
  • Membership in a recognized Bar Association
