Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Legal Counsel to join our team. As a Legal Counsel, you will provide legal advice, guidance, and representation to ensure that the organization's legal rights are protected and that legal risks are minimized. You will play a crucial role in developing legal strategies, drafting and reviewing legal documents, and representing the company in various legal matters. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of corporate law, regulatory compliance, and excellent negotiation skills. This individual should be able to work independently and collaboratively with various departments within the organization to support business objectives and maintain legal and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice and guidance to management and staff on diverse legal matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts and legal documents.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Represent the organization in legal proceedings, hearings, and negotiations.
• Formulate and implement legal strategies that align with business objectives.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support decision making processes.
• Collaborate with external legal counsel when specialized legal advice is necessary.
• Manage litigation and dispute resolution processes to minimize legal risks.
• Maintain knowledge of legislative changes that may affect the organization.
• Develop and deliver training to staff on legal and compliance topics.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with regulators and government agencies.
• Coordinate with various departments to ensure legal support for operational needs.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school is required.
• Minimum of five years of experience as a legal counsel or in a similar role.
• Comprehensive knowledge of corporate law and regulatory compliance standards.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to interpret complex legal issues.
• Excellent negotiation, advocacy, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience with litigation management and alternative dispute resolution methods.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
• Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
