The Legal Counsel is responsible for all legal work in Egypt and/or such other jurisdictions as needed based on Company requirements and directed by the Senior Legal Counsel. Assist Senior Legal Counsel in providing legal support and implement compliance systems and processes. Travel may be required.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Review of Commercial, Sales and Service Contracts for the Oil and Gas service industry.
- Provide general legal advice to the business including liaising with outside counsel.
- Corporate Secretarial supervision and registration for all Weatherford legal entities in area of coverage.
- Leading and supervising outside counsel and managing litigation and litigation expenses for areas of coverage.
- Conducting Due Diligence Enquiries for the engagement of agents, sales representatives, distributors and other intermediaries.
- Conducting Compliance and Legal Training for Company personnel.
- Legal Reporting to Supervisor.
- Provide HR team with on-going advice and support to address and resolve on-going employment related matters. Lead and manage employee disputes before Ministries, Departments, Courts etc.
Helping with vendor agreements; draft, review and negotiate procurement agreements.
Required:
- At least 3-5 years prior Legal Experience in the corporate and commercial department of a reputable law firm or multinational corporation
- Fluent English, Arabic both written and verbal
Eligible to work in Egypt without a visa

- Oil and Gas Industry background
French an advantage
Qualifications:
- Law Degree
- Entrance to BAR exam is essential
