“Legal Counsel (Junior)
” to be assigned to our
''Legal''
department located in İstanbul HQ.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a “Junior Legal Counsel” to join our in-house legal team. This role is ideal for a motivated lawyer with 1–3 years of experience who wants to develop expertise in complex international projects in various aspects. You will work closely with multiple departments on the review and negotiation of a wide range of supply and commercial agreements, helping to identify and mitigate legal and commercial risks.
WHAT DO WE EXPECT?

Bachelor’s degree in law from a leading university with bar admission (LL.M is a plus).

1 to 3 years’ experience in commercial law, international trade law, contract negotiations, or a related field (experience in the power generation, energy, shipping, or infrastructure sectors and/or work experience as a legal counsel in international law offices or power generation, energy or shipping companies is an advantage).

Proficiency in written and spoken of English is a must.

Strong drafting and negotiation skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong understanding of commercial and legal risk in complex contracts and the ability to evaluate interrelated processes for providing practical and business-oriented advice.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment and collaborate effectively with business units to better understand and improve the terms of the transaction and to mitigate associated risks to reach the end within tight deadlines.

Advanced skills in making research and analysis, reporting, organizing, and presentation with the ability to follow through on numerous projects simultaneously under tight deadlines in a very dynamic work environment.

Analytical mindset, proactive attitude, and strong communication skills with persuasive and influential capabilities and ability to communicate and collaborate with multi- national (internal and external) counterparts.

Both self-motivated and teamwork oriented.

No restriction to travel domestically and internationally when required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / WHAT AWAITS YOU?

Draft, review, and negotiate various types of contracts across different business units under the supervision of senior legal counsel such as contracts for procurement of equipment and services (for construction and operation phases of Powerships and LNGTs, and for other business units’ needs), ship building, IT, consultancy, design, etc.

Accountable to senior member of the Legal Department.

Provide day-to-day legal support to senior legal counsels including the technical, commercial and business unit’s teams through contractual processes.

Legal support for all aspects of the company's business, including general corporate matters.

Draft reports, opinions, correspondence, and other documents.

Conduct legal research and monitor changes in relevant legislation and regulation.

Assist in resolving legal issues and support company formation and other corporate processes.

Provide practical, commercially minded legal consulting to the various operational functions on all sort of legal issues.

Represent company's interests and interface directly with internal and external stakeholders and counterparts.
