Legal Cybersecurity & Data Protection

Experience: 4–5 Years
Qualification: LLB / LLM Experience in technology-driven or regulated environments preferred.
Exposure to data privacy, cyber incidents, audits, or regulatory interactions is a plus.

Main Responsibilities

Cybersecurity & Data Protection

· Advise on compliance with cybersecurity and data protection laws, including:

o Information Technology Act, 2000 and related rules

o CERT-In directions and cyber incident reporting requirements

o Data privacy and information security obligations

· Support development and implementation of internal data protection and cybersecurity policies.

· Provide legal support during data breaches, cyber incidents, and regulatory reporting.

· Work closely with IT, InfoSec, Compliance, and Risk teams on cyber-related issues.

Corporate & Commercial Legal

· Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial and corporate contracts, including:

o Vendor and service agreements

o Technology, SaaS, and IT agreements

o NDAs, data processing agreements, and confidentiality arrangements

· Provide legal advice on day-to-day corporate matters and business transactions.

· Support corporate governance requirements and internal legal documentation.

Regulatory & Compliance Advisory

· Monitor and advise on applicable laws, rules, and regulations impacting business operations.

· Assist in compliance with sector-specific regulatory requirements (as applicable).

· Liaise with external counsel, consultants, and regulatory authorities when required.

Risk Management & Dispute Support

· Identify and mitigate legal risks across contracts, operations, and technology usage.

· Support internal audits, compliance reviews, and risk assessments.

· Assist in managing disputes, claims, and notices, and coordinate with external counsel.

Internal Advisory & Stakeholder Support

· Provide practical legal guidance to business teams to enable informed decision-making.

· Conduct legal reviews of policies, processes, and new initiatives.

· Support senior management with legal opinions and risk assessments.
