You’ve guided law firms and legal teams through the implementation of the NetDocuments or iManage document management systems including mapping client workflows and system design and setting up add-ins and integrations to support seamless, connected work environments.
You’re not just a builder or a talker, you’re both. You can design a smart configuration, explain it clearly to a client, and see it through to a clean, confident go-live. Whether you’re in a working session, a training call, or a roadmap discussion, you know how to connect what a firm needs with how their system needs to work. You also know how to translate business needs into system solutions and drive adoption without overwhelming your audience.
At Affinity Consulting, we’re hiring a Document Management Consultant to join our Enterprise Consulting Team and help legal organizations modernize how they manage documents. From end-to-end implementations to long-term support, you’ll play a key role in helping clients improve how they store, access, and use their information while ensuring they feel guided and empowered every step of the way.
This isn’t a back-office support role. It’s a hands-on, client-facing position for someone who knows how to execute with precision, communicate with clarity, and bring both strategic insight and deep platform expertise to every engagement.
This is a rare opportunity to:
You’ll be the person clients rely on to make their document system run smoothly, not just the tool itself, but how it works with everything else they use. You’ll help set up and fine-tune the system, connect it with other everyday tools, and guide clients through launch and adoption. You’ll balance both the technical setup and the human side of change, turning client needs into practical solutions, explaining things in clear, simple terms, and stepping in with support if something doesn’t go as planned. Whether leading a project or supporting long-term relationships, you’ll be the steady, clear, and reliable partner clients can count on.
As a Document Management Consultant, you’ll implement and support legal document management systems for law firms and legal departments. You’ll guide clients through discovery, design solutions, set up tailored solutions, train users, and coordinate with team members supporting data moves and system updates to deliver reliable, well-integrated solutions to clients. You’ll also manage client relationships through support engagements, roadmap planning, and enhancement projects, serving as a key point of contact for system improvements, user support, and long-term success. You’ll contribute to internal tools and best practices and collaborate closely with peers to improve how we deliver work across the team.
Your responsibilities.
We’re Affinity and Lawyerist (one team; two brands) and we’re changing the legal industry by helping legal professionals build healthy businesses and better lives. Alongside our consulting and coaching work, we produce The Lawyerist Podcast, publish a best-selling book, speak at national conferences, and build bold partnerships with the tools and organizations reshaping the legal landscape.
We’re 100% remote, so we expect you to have reliable internet, a professional workspace, and the ability to travel for client meetings, conferences and events, and team gatherings.
We work 8:30–5 ET, M–F, with flexibility and trust.
We’re hiring for a full-time, fully remote role. Benefits include health & dental, LTD/STD and life insurance, 401(k) matching, an Employee Assistance Program, a professional development budget, a health & wellness stipend, flexible PTO, and a team you’ll be proud to work with.
We strongly encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply. If you feel unsure, please apply anyway. If you’re excited about this role but feel like you’re missing a piece or two, let’s talk. Imposter syndrome has no place here.
We don’t discriminate based on gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, race, religion, age, national origin, citizenship, disability, pregnancy status, veteran status, or other differences.
If you have a disability and there’s a way we can make the interview process better, please let us know by sending an email to jobs@affinityconsulting.com with the subject line "Interview Accommodations Reqest". We’re happy to accommodate.
