  • Base Pay: $25/hour W2
  • Commission: 10% on all initial retainer payments

We’re looking for a motivated and personable Legal Intake Specialist to join our remote team—someone who can both connect with clients on a human level and confidently guide them through the decision to retain our services.

Position Summary

As a Legal Intake Specialist, you’ll play a dual role: first as a compassionate listener who helps prospective clients feel heard and understood, and second as a skilled closer who can convert qualified leads into retained clients. This is a critical front-line position combining client service, legal understanding, and inside sales. You'll educate potential clients about our services, assess their needs, and secure retainer agreements—all while maintaining a professional and empathetic tone.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond quickly to new client inquiries via phone, email, and online forms
  • Build trust and rapport while identifying the client’s core legal needs
  • Clearly explain the firm’s services, process, and pricing in a persuasive, professional manner
  • Guide prospective clients through the intake and onboarding process with empathy and attention to detail
  • Confidently present retainer agreements and close new client sign-ons
  • Follow up with leads who have not yet converted, using strategic outreach and nurturing
  • Track all interactions and outcomes using CRM and legal case management tools
  • Collaborate closely with attorneys and other intake team members to ensure a smooth client experience
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales performance targets, conversion rates, and KPIs

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of sales, client intake, or consultative customer service experience—preferably in a legal or professional services environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to clearly and confidently explain legal services, fees, and processes
  • Empathetic and emotionally intelligent approach to conversations
  • Strong objection-handling skills and the ability to professionally close sales
  • Tech-savvy with experience using CRM platforms, online scheduling tools, and virtual meeting software
  • Highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, and reliable
  • Must have a dedicated, quiet home workspace and a strong internet connection
