Position Overview:

We are offering an exciting summer internship opportunity for a dedicated and detail-oriented legal intern, preferably in their 1L or 2L year. This role provides a unique blend of hands-on legal and business experience, including assisting our CEO with various personal matters. It's an exceptional learning opportunity for students interested in business law, property, contracts, and the construction/restoration industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research, draft documents, and prepare reports under the guidance of our outside counsel and an in-house legal/compliance team.
• Support the CEO and owner with personal matters, maintaining confidentiality and a high level of professionalism.
• Work closely with the Controller, HR, outside counsel, and other legal/compliance personnel on diverse projects.
• Engage in compliance management and policy adherence to legal standards.
• Participate actively in legal and business meetings, providing insights and assistance as needed.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited law school, preferably in your 1L or 2L year.
• A strong interest in legal research, compliance, and the construction/restoration industry, particularly in areas related to business law, property, and contracts.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and research skills.
• Discretion in handling confidential information.
• Willingness to assist with the CEO's personal matters.
• Ability to work well independently and within a team.
• Knowledge of Excel is not required but can be helpful.
