Purpose Of The Role

The purpose of the Legal Manager's role is to provide comprehensive guidance and support to the business on legal matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This includes delivering training and education on key legal and compliance topics to enhance awareness across the organization.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Handle a variety of legal matters including corporate, commercial, regulatory topics, and the management of litigation (including liaising with external counsel as needed).
  • Mitigate legal risks and support the business in addressing commercial risks effectively.
  • Conduct research on various legal matters and stay up to date with changes in laws and regulations affecting the company to ensure continuous compliance with local legal requirements.
  • Oversee all factory operations, including handling labor relations, ensuring timely renewal of all required licenses, maintaining regulatory compliance, and addressing day-to-day operational matters
  • Provide legal advice and manage corporate secretarial work, including preparation of corporate documents, drafting board resolutions, managing the appointment and dismissal of board members in alignment with shareholder functions, and handling the amendment and renewal of corporate licenses.
  • Assist the business in commercial and other transactions by drafting, negotiating, and reviewing relevant documentation and agreements.
  • Continuously improve standard templates, agreements, and legal processes to enhance efficiency, scale-up commercial transactions, and drive organizational growth.
  • Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate compliance risks across Egypt and other relevant regions, ensuring the implementation of guidelines and operational compliance processes.
  • Assist in conducting compliance training sessions, supporting compliance investigations, and contributing to internal audits.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external legal consultants and advisory firms.

Qualification and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, with admission to the Egyptian Bar Association.
  • 6–8 years of experience.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent command of English and Arabic (both spoken and written)
