Legal Manager (Bid & Pre-Contract Analysis) – Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Overview

Our client is one of the world's largest and most specialized construction groups that are one of the fastest-growing companies in the global infrastructure market. With further expansion planned, they are continuing to invest in the bid and pre-contract analysis function within the contract management department. They are seeking a specialist to work closely with the corporate contract management at head office on how they strategically shape and mitigate the organisations risk profile for the future.

As a European company with a reputation for having some of the sharpest contract management minds in their space, they are now recruiting an expert who has worked within contract management, legal, and contract analysis, ideally on live projects or internationally. With over 100 years of engineering excellence and 80,000 employees worldwide, they are renowned for their involvement and leading on some of the world's most iconic civil infrastructure projects, predominantly across the transport and water segments.

Your Role

As the business continues to expand, they are now looking to make a key legal contract management appointment in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Ideally, you will have worked in an international construction environment. If not, it is a must that you have worked on large civil infrastructure projects and/or contracts.

As an experienced Legal and Contract Manager, fluent in English, you will be a degree-qualified lawyer or construction professional. You will support and take the lead on end-to-end contractual analysis ranging from bespoke FIDIC contracts to lengthy and onerous PPP contracts. Therefore, you will be familiar with complex contractual challenges on international projects, specifically in Saudi Arabia. It is important that you have drafted subcontract and main contract conditions.

The opportunity requires long-term commitment as the company expands and reinforces its pre-contract function and therefore it's risk mitigation profile for many years to come.

You

If you have the ambition to work on the world's largest civil infrastructure contracts and projects, our client can support you in your ambition. Your knowledge for contract management and in particular mitigating risk through contract analysis will not be limited by geography and you will likely have obtained further education in construction law and arbitration. Importantly, you will share many of the same values:

  • Driven to bring value and add value to the contract management department.
  • Passionate about providing bid analysis and pre-contract management advice and guidance.
  • You are committed and enjoy following plans from idea through to finish.
  • Thrives in a challenging and changing environment where partnerships are international and present different approaches to finding solutions.
  • Master English in writing and high-level speech.
  • Believe in strong collaboration both internally and externally.
