Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Legal Manager (Trademark) to manage and protect the intellectual property portfolio, especially trademarks, of our tyre products and brand lines. The role involves ensuring legal compliance, managing trademark registrations, renewals, oppositions, and coordinating with legal firms and government authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Trademark Management:
• Conduct trademark searches (in India and internationally) for new product/brand names.
• Manage filings for new trademark applications, renewals, and assignments.
• Track deadlines for oppositions, renewals, and office actions.
• Legal Coordination:
• Liaise with external trademark attorneys/law firms on filings, oppositions, rectifications, and infringements.
• Monitor potential trademark infringements and initiate appropriate legal action.
• Portfolio Maintenance:
• Maintain up-to-date trademark portfolio database
• Ensure all marks are properly documented and renewed on time.
• Compliance and Risk Mitigation:
• Advise product, marketing, and branding teams on trademark clearance and usage.
• Ensure product packaging and marketing comply with regulations.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Prepare monthly reports on trademark portfolio status and disputes.
• Draft and maintain records of trademark-related agreements (e.g., licensing, co-existence, assignments).

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB preferred), or Graduate with a specialization in Intellectual Property Rights.
• Certification in IPR or Trademark Law is a plus.
• 5-10 years of relevant experience in trademark management, preferably in a tyre manufacturing company.
• Familiarity with the Indian Trademarks Act and international trademark systems.

Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of trademark laws and filing procedures in India.
• Excellent coordination and communication with legal counsel.
• Proficiency in IP databases
• Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
• Organized and capable of managing multiple trademarks across product categories.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹480,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
